How Crafted 

 

SensoryCritters.com weighted neck wraps are made of dual linings so that the inside is always protected with a durable material that moves where it is needed to move. We also triple stitch all of our products to ensure that our safety Weighted wraps around your neck can be calming and soothing for children and adults. Our weighted neck wraps, or some call them weighted snakes, weighted therapy rings are made with sensory fabrics so when wrapped around your neck they are soft and fuzzy or soft and smooth. The soft and smooth feel like silk and tend to stay cool to the skins touch. Either the soft and fuzzy can be placed in the freezer or the dryer for 10 minutes to help aching muscles or as we use them sometimes it just feels good to have something hot around your neck or arms when it is cold outside and something cold when the weather is just plain hot!

 

Our weighted neck wraps are being used in classrooms to help with concentration after play time to refocus the students back into learning.

 

Parents are using our weighted products at home and to take with their children on car rides to provide their child with something to touch, feel, and play with as well as these work great in conjunction with our weighted lap pads to help with calming those restless legs and moving feet.

 

Some children actually need our weighted neck wraps to keep their focus while also using our weighted vests which provide them grounded and  proprioceptive input (difficulty interpreting sensations from the muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons) such as:

• Pulls, twists, or chew on things (i.e. shirt, gum, pencil)

• Frequently breaks toys or hurts classmates when didn’t mean to.

• Leans, bumps, trips or crashes into objects.

• Walks along touching walls

• Too much pressure when writing (i.e. writes letter over and over again until puts a hole in paper)

• Deliberately falls or crashes into things

• Constantly seems to “physically tackle” everything

• Stands too close when talking to others

• Walks stiff and uncoordinated

Each one of our weighted neck wraps are crafted with triple stitching for durability and can be placed in the dryer to create warmth or placed in the freezer for relief of headaches or muscle aches.

 

Children want products they feel comfortable with and our weighted neck wraps do just that! Our process in creating these weighted products provides the child a sense that there isn't  a seam when placed around their necks. There is only one end with an outside seam and that is masked with our sensory fingers and sensory pockets for their fingers and hands to be in during those fidgety periods.

If you have already purchased our weighted lap pads and weighted vests you can ask for matching fabric (soft and fuzzy or soft and silky) for your weighted neck wrap if your child, student or patient likes the feel of their current products. Otherwise your weighted neck wrap will ship in one of our various durable fabrics.

If you are an adult and would like the fabric choice to be a professional look, please let us know what you are looking for. If no fabric is chosen, we will create your SensoryCritters.com neck wrap in a fleece fabric which creates your neck wrap to be soft, fuzzy and totally a sensory seeker's dream!

Our Sensory Weighted Neck Wraps are approximately 26" long and weigh either 2.  Our weighted neck wraps shipped without special fabric requests are $35.00.

Care of Your Sensory Weighted Neck Wrap

Washing of your Sensory Weighted Neck Wrap should be done in COLD water on delicate wash with COLD rinse with a mild detergent. You can place in the dryer for 10 minutes at a time to check the dryness of the wrap, if it is not dry after two 10 minute cycles please lay your Sensory Weighted Neck Wrap flat to dry. If you choose to dry your Sensory Weighted Neck Wrap please only place in dryer for 10 minutes at a time and enclosed in a pillow case.

Time Line

Time Line of your Weighted Neck Wrap will be 1 week from the date payment is received and your product has been shipped. Your product could be shipped within 1-2 days though, but we allow up to 1 week from the date of payment.
