SensoryCritters.com provides machine and hand crafted quilted Tops sewn to the weighted center and back and are hand tied like the old fashioned quilts were made for extra durability for years of wear and tear. Our seamstresses have been sewing and quilting for over 150 years combined and have sewn for major corporations. Only quality fabric is used when a quilted weighted blanket or weighted blanket is created.

SensoryCritters.com understands that having a weighted blanket provides comfort and a calming sense but we also know that just because you require weight in your bedding doesn't mean they can't be beautiful and durable.

SensoryCritters.com weighted blankets are created with a special heavy duty weighted material that has been tested that does not lose its weight after washing and is sewn directly into the actual blanket to create a safe, weight effective, cost effective, wash and dry product that does not require removing anything from your weighted blanket or quilted weighted blanket in order to care for it.

The amount of weight when choosing a weighted blanket or a quilted weighted blanket is normally looked at 10% of the persons body weight plus 1 pound. Your weighted blanket will arrive within 3-5 weeks once you have chosen your two colors and made your payment in full either by placing your order through the shopping cart or by having us bill you through paypal.com. We understand having children and grandchildren that they can be rough on blankets, but when we say we have tested our quilted blankets on our children and grandchildren we mean we have tested them! Fabric Selection:

When a Weighted Quilted Top Blanket has been ordered - you have the option of choosing your favorite color that you prefer to have on your quilt top.

It is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3 to place your Quilted Top Weighted Blanket Order:
1. Choose your favorite color or provide two colors.

2. Choose cotton on both sides or cotton on one side and fleece or flannel on the other.

3. Choose which size you want to purchase.

4. Pay for your order and wait for your order to arrive in the mail 3-5 weeks.

5. E-mail us your choices from 1-4 at sales and we will include your details with your purchase request. If you haven't gone to the shopping cart to pay for your blanket do so now. Your details in the e-mail are what we will create your quilted blanket from.

6. All quilted top weighted blankets are quilters choice.
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2006: Fleece or Flannel is included in all pricing for all blankets.

If your child likes particular themes you can let us know and we will add that type of fabric to your weighted blanket or to your Weighted Quilted Top Blankets. For example, if your child has a rain forest as their bedroom, we will create a blanket with this fabric theme or if you have a child who loves capital letters let us know and we will find fabric with capital letters.

IF Your child wants a Disney character fabric or any other licensed fabric, you must go to their store, make the purchase and then have the order sent to our office. You will still need to pay full price for the blanket or quilted top weighted blanket of your choice.

Size and Cost of Quilted Blankets

When you place your order for a SensoryCritters.com Quilt Top Weighted Blanket the size will vary as described below give or take a ½”. Each quilt top blanket will be made with Quilter quality material. All Blankets have a Quilt top that you have a choice of your favorite color and the matching colors will be made by our seamstress. All blankets are machine washable in COLD water with minimal soap. All blankets can be placed in the dryer on Permanent press cycle to dry and then used again. You can use warm water - but hot water is never recommended.

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2006: Fleece or Flannel is included in all pricing for all blankets.

If you want a custom sized blanket you will need to e-mail us with your specifications and we will contact you with a custom quote. When you order a Custom Quilt Top Weighted Blanket this fabric is being purchased specifically for your order. If you back out of the order or if you refuse the blanket once you receive it - there will be a 15% surcharge on your return.

All sizes and weights will vary slightly. If you place your order and then cancel your order after 72 hours your means of payment will be billed a 15% handling fee. Care of Your Quilted Top Weighted Blanket

Washing of your Quilted Top Weighted Blanket should be done in COLD water on delicate wash with COLD rinse with a mild detergent. If you don't want any shrinkage, you should lay your quilted top blanket flat to dry. If your not concerned with shrinkage and you wash in warm water and dry in your dryer, be prepared as your quilted blanket will shrink up to 1-3" overall. Your weighted blanket will become softer with each wash. We don't use poly pellets in our blankets so you do not have to worry about having the lining clog your washer and dryer!

Time Line

Time Line of your Quilted Top Weighted Blanket will range from 3-5 weeks depending on the number of quilted weighted blankets in front of your order and what you are ordering will make a difference too. If you order a quilted weighted blanket from our site with no custom requests, the creation is likely to be shipped to you within 3-4 weeks. All custom orders can take 3-6 weeks unless a rush charge is paid up front. Rush charge is an additional $75.00 per blanket regardless if it is quilted top or weighted blanket due to the number of orders that we receive weekly.

Shipping

Shipping of your Quilted Top Weighted Blanket will be based on the size and weight of your weighted blanket and will be mailed through the U.S.P.S. unless you want to pay for UPS. We do have an account with UPS and each shipment will be quoted based on where you are located and the weight and number of items being shipped to your location. If you e-mail us and let us know that you wish to have your quilt shipped UPS we will take your order and calculate your shipping and will e-mail you back for approval prior to running your credit card payment. Please e-mail us with any questions you may have.

We got the blanket on Saturday. Thank you! We came home from Andy's birthday party and it was waiting on the porch for us. Talk about perfect timing; he was all wound up from the party and cake. I got it out of the box and he immediately crawled under it. He calls it his "turtle blanket"...he feels like a turtle under it. ; ) And today, all wound up from gymnastics and a run to the grocery store, he went up and crawled under it again. All of the items are top-notch and our son likes them. Using them definitely helps to calm him and it seems like he might be more focused.
